Everyone from the train was in line and I was worried about missing the train while waiting airing to pay.
We had to split up and my husband went to check on the donuts while I ran through the shop and grabbed a souvenir. I ran to the bathroom and we took a few quick photos outside at the summit. They also don’t give you nearly enough time at the top. We did this and weren’t able to get the famous donuts at the top as this was the train that takes the employees up. They are spaced way to close together so you are literally facing strangers and sitting knee to knee with them. One row is forward facing and the next row is rear facing so the two rows face each other. Price was reasonable and the staff was friendly and pointed out interesting facts and history along the way. It was an easier and safer alternative than trying to drive to the peak in the winter. All in all i would only ever do this once when i got up there i felt sick and dizzy it was freezing and i had to run back to the train because i only heard the last horn if u dont make it they will leave without you alot of people in the reviews said it was too little time at the top but i would disagree 40 min is more than enough because there is honestly nothing to do there u get a hot chocolate a donut and thats it the gift shop is small and similar to the bottom shop and there is a small area where there are pics and stuff about how the cog railway was built the train ride back felt like an eternity all in all its a nice 1x experience if not choose on the 3 seat side and if you want your party to stay together those bold black lines on the chart mean you will be back to back for example row 11 and row 12 face eachother and row12 and row 13 r back to back.

The seats r tight and when reserving you cant tell how the seats r laid out i ended up choosing seats that were back to bAck and it seemed like alot of people made that mistake and thankfully because of that i was able to switch with someone and sat next to my husband. Be careful when reserving your seats online i went with my husband so the best thing is to have you both sitting infront of each other on the window side. You can only park across the street within a certain window sure you can find parking below and shuttle up i saw people doing that but it seems more complicated than just parking right there.PLEASE Book your seats in advance! I would reserve seats on the 3 seat side for the views u will not have much of any views on the 2 seat side also you will have the same views when you go up as when u go down. When you get to location beware of parking.
